PokerThangs is a training tool published by Geek Thangs, LLC of Metro Detroit, Michigan. Using the site or the trainer means you accept what is below. It is short because the product is small and takes nothing from you.

What This Is

PokerThangs teaches skills used in live low-stakes cash poker: pot math, chip counting, player observation, table selection and hand reading. It is educational software. It is not a gambling service. You cannot wager here, cannot deposit, cannot withdraw and cannot win or lose money on this site. No real or simulated currency has any value, inside the product or outside it.

Who It Is For

Adults. Card rooms set their own minimum age, usually 18 or 21 depending on where you play, and you should know yours before you sit in a game. Do not use this site if you are below the legal gambling age where you live, and do not use it if gambling is causing you harm. No Promise That You Will Win

Poker is gambling and gambling loses money for most people who do it. Nothing here is a prediction, a guarantee, or a claim about what you will earn. Any figure on this site is an illustration of a calculation, not a forecast of your results. Decisions you make at a table are yours, and so are their consequences.

Accuracy, and What Happens When We Get It Wrong

Every answer key in the app is re-derived independently by a test suite that runs 1,555 checks on every build, and the drills are verified across thousands of generated seeds. That makes an error a bug rather than a difference of opinion, and it is why we would rather hear about one than not. Tell us at Hello@GeekThangs.com and you will get a straight answer about whether we agree. It does not make the content warranted correct, and you use it as it is.

Price, and the Early Access Window

Everything is free right now. There is no payment system on this site, no card is taken, no trial is running and no clock is counting down. The tiers on the pricing page describe what is planned, not what is being charged. If that changes, it will be announced before anything is charged, and using the product will never bill you by surprise.

Your Progress Is Yours, and It Is Fragile

There are no accounts. Your stats live in your own browser's localStorage and nowhere else, which is good for your privacy and bad for durability. Clearing site data, switching browsers, switching devices or using private mode will lose them, and we cannot recover them because we never had a copy. See the privacy page for exactly what is stored.

What You May and May Not Do

Use PokerThangs for your own training, as much as you like. The scenarios, drill content, written guides, images, code and design are owned by Geek Thangs, LLC and are not licensed for republication, resale, redistribution, or use as training data for a competing product. Do not scrape the site in bulk, do not attempt to break or overload it, and do not present its content as your own.

Availability

This is an early-access product from a small company. It may change, break, lose features or go offline without notice, and there is no uptime commitment. The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, and to the fullest extent the law allows Geek Thangs, LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, including gambling losses.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
